The vintage look of the glass is perfectly complemented by the robust PL housing, complete with 0,8 pitch gears for modern wireless and manual lens control units, allowing precision control when using these distinctive lenses.

With the Supreme Primes, Zeiss has adopted a more gentle, slightly softer imaging style which is more suited to digital sensor cameras and represents a departure from the crisp, clinical aesthetic of Master Primes and Ultra Primes. The Supreme Primes are particularly recommended for large format cameras such as the Sony VENICE and the ARRI ALEXA Mini LF.     The Angenieux Optimo 56-152mm A2S anamorphic zoom builds on the success of the Optimo spherical zoom lens series which are noted for their lightweight and compact design, low distortion and minimal breathing characteristics. The Optimo 56-152mm achieves a 2:1 squeeze using a rear anamorphic element lens design and features a constant T4 maximum aperture across the entire zoom range. Weighing only 2.2kg, the 56-152mm Optimo Anamorphic zoom is also suited to handheld, Steadicam and Gimbal shooting modes. The 56mm to 152mm focal length range of this zoom makes it particularly useful for complementing a set of wider anamorphic prime lenses (such as Cooke Anamorphic/i primes) or for productions where lens changes need to be kept to a minimum. The zoom is also compatible with most cinematography cameras that are capable of anamorphic format recording, including the Sony Venice,  Alexa Mini and Red Helium.
