The Sony FS7 II is an update to the popular FS7 which extends the capabilities and feature set of the original camera. Enhancements to the camera design include a variable ND filter, a lever locking Sony E-mount, an improved viewfinder and the addition of Rec-2020 colour space (ITU BT.2020).

The FS7 II retains all the functionality of the original Sony FS7, including 4K & HD resolutions, up to 180fps capture, the same Super 35mm format sensor and options (via E-mount adapters) to use a wide range of lenses, including PL, Leica & Canon EF. This is a highly versatile yet affordable camera which lends itself to a range of applications including digital cinematography, multi-camera and documentary shooting.

Like the Original FS7, the FS7 II is compatible with the optional XDCA-FS7 extension unit. This allows the use of V-Lock batteries as well as Apple ProRes recording and time Code capabilities.

    The Sony FX3 is the baby of the Sony Cinema Line camera series and shares both its sensor lineage and colour science with it’s Sony FX6 and FX9 siblings. Whilst having a similar form factor to DSLR sized cameras such as the A7SII, the Sony FX3 has been designed with cinematic moving image capture as it’s core mission. Video-friendly features of the FX3 include front & rear tally lamps, 1/4-20 mounting points on the camera body and a removeable top handle with industry-standard XLR audio connectors. A fan cooling system also prevents overheating when recording, something that is often an inherent issue when shooting on compact mirrorless type cameras. The FX3 is also an especially good choice for use as a matching ‘B’ cam when shooting on a Sony FX6 or FX9 (and even the Sony Venice). Equally, it’s lightweight design makes it useful a useful choice for lightweight gimbal setups. We stock a wide range of Sony ‘E’ mount prime and zoom lenses, which means a mount adapter is not required and furthermore, opens up full electronic functionality of the lens when used natively on the Sony FX3. However, if you have a preference to use other lenses such as PL and Canon EF, we stock a range of ‘E’ mount adapters compatible with this camera.     Featuring a Full-Frame, 36 x 24mm sensor, the Sony VENICE can capture stunning, cinematic images at up to 6K resolution. It can also record in Super35 full height 2x anamorphic mode and is currently capable of up to 120fps in 4K. Other advanced capabilities include internal 8-stop ND filters, Dual Base ISO and over 15 stops of latitude. Our Sony VENICE rental kits include the High Speed (HFR), Full Frame and Anamorphic licenses as standard allowing your production to take full advantage of this camera. We also offer a VENICE RAW hire package which includes the AXS-R7 external RAW recorder and AXS media cards. The VENICE is compatible with most Super35 format lenses as well as Full-Frame glass such as the ZEISS Supreme Primes.

    The FX6 sits at the centre of the Sony 4K Cinema Line camera range, with a more comprehensive feature set than the FX3, but enjoying a smaller and more mobile form factor than the Sony FX9. It’s compact size and functionality make it a great choice for lightweight, handheld ‘run and gun’ shooting setups as well as being a Full-Frame 4K option for gimbal and B-camera use. With an interchangeable ‘E’ lens mount, it can be used natively with Sony lenses and with a mount adapter, will work with most other lens mounts including PL & Canon EF. It has a suite of highly useful features, including a built-in electronic variable ND filter, advanced autofocus capabilities, 15+ stops dynamic range and for low-light shooting, expanded ISO of up to 409600. It supports a range of Full Frame 35mm and Super35 10-bit 4:2:2 recording resolutions and also offers high frame rate capture at up to 120fps in 4K.
