  The cmotion steady zoom has been designed for use with Steadicam and gimbal shooting setups, but can also be configured as classic pan-bar zoom control (in much the same way as a Preston Microforce). This unit has an adjustable nano clamp to mount on a pan handle, moose bar or a gimbal ring, and a right angle LBUS  cable so keep  your cabling flush. Some of the other key features include an LBUS interface, enabling it to be integrated into a wireless lens control ecosystem (such as a cmotion cPro or<a href="https://shootblue.tv/products/arri-hi-5-3-channel-lens-control-kit/"> ARRI Hi-</a>5) and assignable user buttons for camera stop/start, ‘ZAP’ zoom and lens limits. Our steady zoom rental kit is supplied with an ARRI cforce Plus motor, so that it can be used straight out of the flightcase in single axis, standalone mode, without requiring any other lens control hardware.

Our kit includes the cForce mini motor allows for light weight set ups, the cForce Plus motor lets you run even the stiffest and heaviest of lenses. This zoom demand comes complete with an Oppenheimer pan handle adapter for tripod-mounting the unit when controlling zoom and operating simultaneously. Alternatively, the ergonic handle can be operated independently by an assistant for more difficult shots, such as a “Hitchcock” dolly zoom.

Our Vario 5 Gimbal Flex vest here is the Standard size (85-118cm, 33-46”) It’s designed around female operators with support around the chest, adjustability of torso height and shoulder frames but is used universally. This Gimbal Flex version of the vest we found to be more supportive throughout the day with a greater level of padding and more surface area to wrap around the waist-hip area.
