  The Sony PXW-FX9 builds on the success of the popular Sony FS7/FS7II range of E-mount camcorders by introducing a larger Full-Frame 35mm Exmor R sensor. Whilst retaining the compact form-factor and familiarity of the FS7, the Sony FX9 features a sensor over twice the surface area of a Super 35 sensor, providing a shallower depth of field and a wider angle of view. Other key features of the FX9 include dual base ISO of 800/4000, over 15 stops of dynamic range and a 6K oversampled sensor for recording in DCI 4K, UHD, and HD resolutions. And for when a Super 35 format is required, the sensor crops to achieve a S35mm 4K recording mode. The FX9 Features an Electronic Variable ND, allowing for the user to have step-less control of their exposure without compromising on their chosen aperture. Our Sony FX9 camera kits are configured to a very high standard with a ARRI 15mm support package, media, and accessories to enable the camera to be used to it’s full potential. For power options, our rental kit includes both the regular ‘BP’ type batteries as well as a 4-way set of V-lock batteries and a V-lock power adapter. We also stock a range of Sony E mount lenses, E-EF and E-PL lens mount adapters for use with the FX9 – please speak to a member of our rental team for further details.

  The ALEXA Mini LF is the latest camera in the highly acclaimed <a href="https://shootblue.tv/products/arri-alexa-mini/">ALEXA MINI</a> series. Equipped with a 4.5K resolution Full-Frame (FF) sensor and a native LPL lens mount, the Mini LF combines large format cinematography with the compact size, precise colour science and stunning image quality of the ALEXA Mini. Like original ARRI ALEXA Mini, the LF is particularly suited to handheld, gimbal and Steadicam applications which demand a lower weight and form factor. Our Mini LF cameras have the latest Software Update Package 7.1.2 installed which enables Super 35mm recording at up to 3.4K resolution, making the camera now natively compatible with both full-frame and S35 format cinematography lenses.   The Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K (for the purposes of this description, we’ll refer to it as the BDPCC4K) is an advanced, small form factor cinematography camera for shooting 4K, UHD and HD images. The BDPCC4K is built around a Micro 4/3 (MFT) sized sensor and it’s range of features include HDR capture, dual native ISO (up to 25,600 ISO) and up to 60fps recording in 4K. It supports ProRes and Blackmagic RAW recording, 3D LUT display and is compatible with CFAST and SD card media. It is also possible to record to external SSD media using the USB-C port on the camera. What we particularly like about this camera is the large touchscreen interface which is super easy to navigate and configure the camera. Blackmagic Design have even gone as far as adding a ‘<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamburger_button">hamburger</a>‘ button, bringing the UX of this camera very up to date. Our comprehensive rental kit includes CFAST media, 4 x LP-E6 batteries and a Tilta cage system.
