  Pronounced ‘soo-mee-ray’, Canon Sumires have been designed to offer a more subtle and gentler look than with most typical modern lenses, so offer an compelling alternative to using vintage glass. The set is supplied in PL mounts and will cover Full Frame sensors such as the <a href="https://shootblue.tv/products/sony-pxw-fx9-full-frame-camera/">Sony FX9</a>, Sony <a href="https://shootblue.tv/products/sony-venice-full-frame-6k-camera/">Venice</a> and ARRI Alexa <a href="https://shootblue.tv/products/arri-alexa-mini-lf/">Mini LF</a>. But with full coverage of smaller image circles, they are also equally suitable for use on Super 35mm sensor cameras including the standard Alexa Mini and Sony FS7. The lenses are also compact and lightweight, making them suitable for use on gimbals and handheld shooting styles. Our Canon Sumire 7-lens set includes 14mm, 20mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm & 135mm focal lengths. All lenses in the series feature an 11-blade iris design and share a standard 114mm front diameter. Please note, that whilst the lens mounts are interchangeable to EF, we are currently only offer these lenses in PL mount.

  The Cooke S8/i range has been crafted with the same optical characteristics, the warm and subtle yet expressive Cooke Look, that has come to define their spherical lenses, whilst offering a Full-Frame image capture. And at T1.4 maximum aperture across the series, they are also amongst the fastest Full-Frame cinematography lenses available. Complementing the Cooke Look is the precise and reliable mechanical design, making these lenses that cinematographers and camera assistants can completely trust in any shooting situation. As Cooke themselves put it, the S8/i series are ‘Technically Beautiful’ lenses. Our set of Cooke S8/i lenses are natively LPL mounted and can deliver an image circle of 46.3mm, making them compatible with a wide range of both Full Frame and Super 35 format cameras, including the new ARRI Alexa 35. The compact and lightweight design also make them suited for todays diverse shooting applications, whether it be handheld, gimbal Steadicam or motion control. Our standard Cooke S8/i lens set consists of six focal lengths (25mm, 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, 75mm & 100mm) with the Cooke S8/i 135mm also available as a single lens option. As Cooke release further focal lengths in this series, we will be adding these to our rental inventory.

  A 5-way set of large format cinematography lenses which cover both Full-Frame and Super 35 sensors. With the Supreme Primes, Zeiss has adopted a more gentle, slightly softer imaging style which is more suited to digital sensor cameras and represents a departure from the crisp, clinical aesthetic of Master Primes and <a href="https://shootblue.tv/products/zeiss-ultra-prime-5-way-lens-set/">Ultra Primes</a>. The Supreme Primes are particularly recommended for large format cameras such as the <a href="https://shootblue.tv/products/sony-venice-full-frame-6k-camera/">Sony VENICE</a> and the ARRI ALEXA Mini LF.   Anamorphic lenses rarely more characterful (and beautiful) than the JDC Xtal Xpress series. Developed in the 1980s by the esteemed Joe Dunton Cameras (JDC) company (which was subsequently acquired by Panavision), Xtals have been used to lens many high profile feature films, including Star Wars Episode VI, Layer Cake, Guardians of the Galaxy and Ex Machina. They also remain a popular and enduring lens choice for cinematographers shooting music promos and commercials, especially when a striking and unique visual aesthetic is required. Our 4-lens set of of JDC Xtal Xpress (pronounced “crystal express”) anamorphic lenses include the 35mm, 50mm, 85mm and 100mm focal lengths. Recently given a complete optical and mechanical overhaul, we are confident this is one of the finest sets of these acclaimed and rarefied lenses currently available for rental.
