  Anamorphic lenses rarely more characterful (and beautiful) than the JDC Xtal Xpress series. Developed in the 1980s by the esteemed Joe Dunton Cameras (JDC) company (which was subsequently acquired by Panavision), Xtals have been used to lens many high profile feature films, including Star Wars Episode VI, Layer Cake, Guardians of the Galaxy and Ex Machina. They also remain a popular and enduring lens choice for cinematographers shooting music promos and commercials, especially when a striking and unique visual aesthetic is required. Our 4-lens set of of JDC Xtal Xpress (pronounced “crystal express”) anamorphic lenses include the 35mm, 50mm, 85mm and 100mm focal lengths. Recently given a complete optical and mechanical overhaul, we are confident this is one of the finest sets of these acclaimed and rarefied lenses currently available for rental.   Cooke introduced the new Panchro/i Classic series as a result of renewed interest in the vintage <strong>Cooke Speed Panchro</strong> lenses that were originally manufactured between the 1920s and 1960s. The new Panchro/i Classic is true to the optical character of the original Speed Panchro, recreating the same look and feel of the original optics with the advantage of modern glass, mechanical design and lens mounts for todays cinematography cameras. The Panchro Classic lenses also feature the Cooke /i Technology interface for frame by frame metadata capture. Cooke Panchro/i Classics are a particularly interesting lens choice for digital sensor cameras such as the Sony VENICE and ARRI Alexa Mini which can often benefit from a softer/more gentle visual style. Our set of Cooke Panchro/i Classic lens set includes the 18, 25, 32, 40, 50, 75, 100 & 152mm focal lengths.

  Pronounced ‘soo-mee-ray’, Canon Sumires have been designed to offer a more subtle and gentler look than with most typical modern lenses, so offer an compelling alternative to using vintage glass. The set is supplied in PL mounts and will cover Full Frame sensors such as the <a href="https://shootblue.tv/products/sony-pxw-fx9-full-frame-camera/">Sony FX9</a>, Sony <a href="https://shootblue.tv/products/sony-venice-full-frame-6k-camera/">Venice</a> and ARRI Alexa <a href="https://shootblue.tv/products/arri-alexa-mini-lf/">Mini LF</a>. But with full coverage of smaller image circles, they are also equally suitable for use on Super 35mm sensor cameras including the standard Alexa Mini and Sony FS7. The lenses are also compact and lightweight, making them suitable for use on gimbals and handheld shooting styles. Our Canon Sumire 7-lens set includes 14mm, 20mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm & 135mm focal lengths. All lenses in the series feature an 11-blade iris design and share a standard 114mm front diameter. Please note, that whilst the lens mounts are interchangeable to EF, we are currently only offer these lenses in PL mount.

  Fujinon Premista 80-250mm T2.9-3.5 Zoom Lens

  The Fujinon Premista 80-250mm is compatible with the Full-Frame sized camera sensors of both the ARRI <a href="https://shootblue.tv/products/arri-alexa-mini-lf/">Alexa Mini LF</a> and the <a href="https://shootblue.tv/products/sony-venice-full-frame-6k-camera-axs-r7-package/">Sony Venice.</a> It also offers complete sensor coverage of Super 35 chip cameras, making it also equally suitable for use in S35 format production. Other features of the Premista 80-250mm zoom include a ZEISS eXtended Data port, and a Cooke /i interface enabling focus, iris and zoom metadata to be captured. Please note that the Fujinon Premista has a constant aperture between 80-200mm and then ramps gradually to T3.5 between 201-250mm.
